Home 11 wks : Family in Love, PART 2 · July 06, 2008

Some of our favorite family activities are simple ways of being together - dancing around the house, feeding the birds in the backyard, watering the vegetables and learning each other's language with the help of our little electronic translator. JunFen's hunger to learn English is amazing. Some of the phrases we hear her say are "Oh my goodness sakes!" :) ; "Let's go!"; "It's coming" (pointing to her thighs and how they are getting bigger  - a couple of pounds).

BaBa & MaMa have aching backs and muscles from trying to keep up with our little one and from letting her use us as gymnastics equipment!

JunFen loves to take us by the hand when we pick her up at school and escort us to the playground to demonstrate all the flips she can do and how she is mastering the monkey bars. Soon she will have a series of tests at Gillette Children's hospital which will include a CT-scan, MRI and ultrasound. They want to get the best understanding of her spine, effected by congenital scoliosis, as they can. JunFen will be sedated most of the day as it would be difficult for a child to hold still and endure a day's worth of tests. Please keep her in your prayers - she is a courageous little peanut determined to let nothing rain on her parade! She doesn't let her special physical challenges define her - she has many lessons to share through her sweet smile and courage.
