What a joyful day! More than birthdays, graduations, or any other milestone - celebrations of the Sacraments are the most meaningful moments for us as a family. JunFen never heard of the name of Jesus in China. She's discovered His intense and constant love for her these two years and has come into intimate union with Him in First Communion. We are humbled by His grace. "I am the Bread of Life - whoever believes in Me will never hunger..."
Two days after her First Communion, JunFen asked, "Mommy, how do I become a saint?" I think of how she bears all of her medical procedues, scars on her back, coming to a new country and learning a new language with such joy in her heart, thinking of others and trusting her parents (who are trusting God!).
