So far, so good! JunFen is home after her second expansion surgery, which took less than 2 hours. She is nearly an inch taller and able to stand straighter. JunFen had done some growing and was so ready for the expansion of her VEPTR rods. Dr. Amy McIntosh at Mayo was pleased with the procedure. Jerry is doing an excellent job with her pain mangement; JunFen has been prescribed valium and roxiecodone. We're cautiously optimistic about her recovery - the test will be how her pain is this evening. Right now she's napping after the excitement of coming home. Those of you who know JunFen, know she's not the napping kind of gal.
